International Orange Blossom Carnival

With a riot of colour that would give Rio a run for its money and as many blossoms as the Cilician Plain, the excitement of the Orange Blossom Carnival never fades. Adana Mersin

April 2016 will be the fourth birthday of the Orange Blossom Carnival, which in 2015 began with a procession of over ninety thousand people. This year it’s expected to attract even more people. Just as in the Rio Carnival, festival goers come to the carnival in fancy dress, ensuring the festival gets off to an equally exciting, colourful and energetic start. People come from all over the world to enjoy the activities and events that fill all the city's streets and squares. As well as dance, music, poetry, folk dancing, theatre, exhibitions and concert events, the carnival also celebrates local customs through its folkloric presentations. Joined by many famous names from the worlds of business, art and sport, the Orange Blossom Carnival is the perfect excuse to see Adana in April, one of the best months to be there.
